Dr. Prachi Ugle

Dr. Prachi Ugle is a climate change and sustainability expert with over 20 years of professional experience in climate change mitigation, adaptation, MRV, carbon markets, and institutional capacity building. She has extensive expertise in developing climate strategies, strengthening the capacity of institutions and organizations, and supporting climate change professionals across diverse sectors and regions.
Dr. Ugle specializes in Article 6 and carbon markets, including project design, documentation, approval, validation, and registration of forestry, afforestation, REDD+, AFOLU, and FLAG projects under standards and registries such as Verra, Plan Vivo, Plural Earth, and Impact Registry. She has also worked extensively with vulnerable and developing countries, including Small Island Developing States, promoting carbon finance as an opportunity to support sustainable development and community livelihoods.
Her expertise further covers SBTi target setting, corporate net-zero strategies, ESG, EcoVadis assessments, materiality mapping, and sustainability reporting aligned with GRI, SBTi, CDP, IFRS S1 and S2, CSRD, and CSDDD. She has also contributed as a standard setter to an open consultation on corporate net-zero standards.
Dr. Ugle is the author of Climate Change Action Communicables 2026, published by Elivia Press, as well as a book on circularity. Her work brings together climate action, carbon markets, sustainability, and community development, with a particular focus on translating climate challenges into practical opportunities for organizations and communities.
